Temecula’s “coming soon” list is longer than its open list — always. Here is what we can document today for 2027 and the last stretch of 2026, with sources. If a business has not posted an opening date, we say so.

Restaurants still in the pipeline

Shake Shack — 26407 Ynez Road. The City of Temecula announced Temecula’s first Shake Shack in the former Union Bank building on Ynez. WhatNow reported the news June 19, 2026; no opening date was attached. Treat it as announced, not open. (WhatNow)

Frida’s Taqueria — Palomar Village. Planned for 30680 Rancho California Road, Suite M606 (the former Great Burrito). Top of Temecula’s June 2026 status check described the project as stuck in city permitting since at least 2024, with temporary signage down and Instagram still listing Temecula. Expect late 2026 at the earliest, with slip risk into 2027. (Top of Temecula Insider)

PAMEC Estate Winery. PAMEC has poured natural wine at its Old Town patio (28522 Old Town Front Street, Suite 3) while building a full estate tasting room and production facility in the hills, announced for 2026 on the winery’s site. As of this writing we have not independently confirmed the estate is open — so it stays on the watch list. The patio remains the place you can visit now. (pamecwinery.com)

Corbeaux’s next rooms. Owner-winemaker Regan Schneider’s Corbeaux Wine & Tea House (41923 Second Street, Suite 105) has publicly described two expansions: The Naturalist, a retail apothecary for her skincare line, and Ducks in a Row, a cocktail lounge and restaurant in the back room. Those are “soon,” not dated openings — we will update when doors open. (San Diego Magazine Celebrating Women 2026 profile; confirm on corbeauxwineandtea.com)

Fitness and retail

EōS Fitness — 40462 Winchester Road. The chain lists a Temecula gym as Coming Soon near Winchester and Margarita, with a 2027 target and no exact date on the company page. Amenities listed in coverage include 24-hour access and the brand’s usual large-format training floors. (eosfitness.com)

Benedetto Gelato — Promenade. The city teased Benedetto Gelato for the Promenade in the same 2026 wave as LEGO and Gloopii (per Patch’s LEGO reporting). LEGO and Gloopii are open; we have not confirmed Benedetto’s open date yet. It stays on the list until we can walk in.

Schools and civic work

Temecula Valley Charter School campus — Washington & Yates. TVCS is building a permanent K–8 campus. The school’s capital-campaign page says construction is underway and points to a Spring 2027 opening (earlier materials had floated late fall 2026). (tvcscougars.com/capital-campaign)

City public-works projects (from the Department of Public Works Project Status Report as of October 27, 2026):

  • Great Oak Trail Lighting (PW21-16) — solar lights along Great Oak Trail beside Pechanga Parkway from Deer Hollow Way to Loma Linda Road. Contract awarded September 22, 2026; construction; early 2027 completion expected.
  • ADA curb ramps (PW24-07) — about 42 ramps on Ynez Road and in Harveston; under construction; early 2027.
  • Fire Station 84 renovation (PW19-14) — under construction since October 2025; expected December 2026.
  • Traffic signal fiber optic extension (PW25-01) — design phase along Margarita, Meadows, Date, and Nicolas; design completion anticipated early 2027.

If you have been holding dinner plans for “when that place opens,” skip to what is already serving: Gaucho Grill, Kulturas, Famous PUDN, Tecovas (soft open; grand opening November 6–8, 2026), Kura Sushi, Einstein Bros., LEGO at the Promenade. Those are rounded up in New in Temecula and Old Town Front Street.

We will refresh this page as permits clear and soft openings stick. Send tips to hello@temeculamagazine.com — with an address and a photo of the sign if you have one.
